Most retail investors end a year of CFD trading with a loss.
What This Review Process Actually Checks
Our verdict on Fusion Markets for Indian readers comes from one checklist applied the same way to every broker: who holds the licence, what the client agreement actually says, what money movement costs, and whether the platform portfolio holds up in real use. Nothing here is scored on marketing claims.
Fusion Markets was founded in 2017 in Melbourne, Australia, and built its name as a low-cost raw-spread and ECN-style broker. For Indian residents that name recognition comes with an important qualifier: you are onboarded under the offshore arms, Gleneagle Securities Pty Limited (Vanuatu VFSC, reg. 40256) and/or Fusion Markets International Ltd (Seychelles FSA, licence SD096). There is no SEBI registration behind any of it.
We spend more time on that licensing layer than on anything else, because it decides what happens if a withdrawal stalls or a dispute drags on. VFSC and Seychelles FSA supervision is lighter than FCA, CySEC or ASIC oversight, and neither regulator has a mandate to intervene on behalf of Indian residents. That is worth understanding before you fund anything, not after.
Where Indian Clients Land
Fusion Markets accepts clients from India, but under RBI and FEMA rules retail spot forex and CFD trading in non-INR pairs through offshore brokers is not permitted, and remitting funds abroad for margin forex is not a valid LRS purpose. Both facts sit together, and neither cancels the other out.

The RBI's Alert List of unauthorised forex platforms, in its 19 November 2025 update, totalled 95 entities, and the seven names added then were Starnet FX, CapPlace, Mirrox, Fusion Markets, Trive, NXG Markets and Nord FX. The RBI states the list is not exhaustive, and SEBI and RBI direct residents to verify entities at sebi.gov.in and rbi.org.in.
For context on the domestic side: exchange-traded INR currency derivatives run on SEBI-recognised venues (NSE, BSE, MSE) with SPAN plus exposure margins of roughly 3-5%, which works out to about 20-30x on notional. There is no fixed retail cap like ESMA's in India. Offshore leverage advertised at 1:500 has no local regulator standing behind it.
Putting the Numbers Side by Side
Costs are where Fusion Markets genuinely competes, so it pays to read them closely rather than trust the headline "from 0.0 pips".
| Item | Zero Account | Classic Account |
|---|---|---|
| Spread | Raw, from 0.0 pips | All-in, from ~0.9 pips |
| Commission | AUD 4.50 per side, per lot | None |
| Minimum deposit | None | None |
| Best suited to | Frequent, tighter strategies | Simpler cost tracking |
Working capital and instrument access matter too, and here the picture is more mixed than the marketing suggests.
| Factor | What Fusion Markets Offers |
|---|---|
| Max leverage | 1:500 FX majors and metals |
| Leverage, other assets | 1:100 indices/energies, 1:20 crypto CFDs |
| Instruments | 250+: 90+ FX pairs, metals, commodities, indices, share and crypto CFDs |
| Platforms | MT4, MT5, cTrader, TradingView integration |
| Base currencies | USD, AUD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CHF, CAD, NZD, SGD, HKD |
| INR account | Not offered |
That missing INR base currency is the detail Indian traders feel fastest. Every rupee deposit converts before it hits your trading balance, and that conversion is a cost you carry on both entry and exit.
Funding Reality for Rupee Accounts
Deposits and withdrawals run through bank wire, Visa/Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller, PayPal and crypto (BTC/USDT). Cards clear instantly with a $0 broker fee. International bank wires can cost roughly USD 20-30 on top, and there is no verified UPI or local INR rail at the time of review.

Place that next to how money normally moves in India. UPI through PhonePe or Google Pay settles near-instantly, 24/7, within an NPCI limit of roughly Rs 1 lakh per transaction per day. IMPS takes minutes, and NEFT/RTGS and NetBanking (HDFC, SBI) cover the rest. None of those connect directly to this account.
One more figure deserves to be on the table before you plan transfers. Under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme, outward remittance is capped at USD 250,000 per resident per financial year, tracked at PAN level, and a 20% TCS applies above Rs 10 lakh annually (threshold raised from Rs 7 lakh, effective 1 April 2025). TCS is an advance-tax credit rather than a lost cost, but it ties up cash until you file. Margin forex is not a permitted LRS end-use in the first place.
Testing the Platform Layer
We judge platforms by whether they survive a bad day, not by the feature list. Fusion Markets runs MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader and a TradingView integration across desktop, web and mobile, which covers most workflows Indian traders already know.
| Platform | Runs on | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| MetaTrader 4 | desktop / web / mobile | Forex and CFDs, expert advisors |
| MetaTrader 5 | desktop / web / mobile | Multi-asset, more timeframes |
| cTrader | desktop / web / mobile | Depth of market, fast execution |
| TradingView | desktop / web / mobile | Charting and community |
The instrument count is where the spread-versus-depth trade-off shows up. You get 250+ instruments including 90+ forex pairs, metals, commodities, indices, share CFDs and crypto CFDs. That is a solid range, though it will not satisfy someone hunting genuinely obscure exotics.
Islamic accounts exist as a swap-free, Shariah-compliant option on request across account types, which matters for Indian Muslim clients. There are no deposit-bonus offers and no verified India-specific promotion at the time of review.
Common Mistakes We See
A good review process spends as much time on failure modes as on features.
- Signal and PMS groups on Telegram or WhatsApp promising guaranteed monthly returns. There is no such product, anywhere.
- Cloned broker apps that mirror a real brand's interface but route deposits to unrelated accounts.
- Unauthorised platforms that accept deposits smoothly and then block withdrawals.
- Recovery-agent follow-on scams, which target people already hurt once.
- Skipping SEBI and RBI registry checks before sending a single rupee.
KYC on legal, exchange-linked accounts in India needs a PAN card (mandatory), plus Aadhaar, address proof, bank proof and a cancelled cheque, with approval usually in 24-48 hours. Offshore onboarding follows a different path entirely, which is another reason to read the client agreement rather than assume.
After Weighing the Odds
Go for it ifyou already understand the regulatory position and are comfortable with offshore execution, want genuinely low round-trip costs on the Zero account, use MT4, MT5, cTrader or TradingView daily, and value a broker with a Melbourne base and a seven-year track record. Traders who track costs per lot rather than per month will find the AUD 4.50 per side structure transparent once conversion is accounted for. If you mainly want the swap-free option, that is available on request.

- No INR base-currency account
Look at a more strictly regulated international broker if your priority is top-tier supervision with segregated funds and a regulator that actually answers complaints, or if you need INR-denominated funding without conversion drag. Those traders are better served by a broker under FCA, CySEC or ASIC oversight that publishes its client-money handling clearly, even if spreads run wider. That is not a reason to leave the category, it is a reason to choose more carefully within it.
The practical case against leaning on Fusion Markets alone is simpler than any regulatory argument. If your withdrawal query lands at a regulator with no jurisdiction over Indian residents, you have fewer levers than you would with a tier-one licence. Read that sentence before you size your first position, not after.
Questions
What should I check before choosing any offshore broker?
Start with the licence and who issues it, then confirm segregated client funds, transparent fee schedules, a long operating history and responsive support. Run the entity name against SEBI and RBI registries, and confirm whether a margin forex remittance is a permitted LRS end-use before you transfer anything. Those checks separate the serious operators from the rest.
Does Fusion Markets have a SEBI licence in India?
No. Indian clients are onboarded under Gleneagle Securities Pty Limited (Vanuatu VFSC, reg. 40256) and/or Fusion Markets International Ltd (Seychelles FSA, licence SD096). Fusion Markets holds no SEBI registration in India, and neither regulator has a mandate to act for Indian residents.
Why was Fusion Markets added to the RBI Alert List?
The RBI's 19 November 2025 update to its Alert List of unauthorised forex platforms added seven names, including Fusion Markets, bringing the total to 95. The RBI states the list is not exhaustive, and residents are directed to verify entities at sebi.gov.in and rbi.org.in before depositing funds.
